I have an MA in Creative Writing with Distinction from Birkbeck University, taught by award-winning novelists Rachel Seiffert, Julia Bell, Julianne Pachico and Joanna Walsh.
The piece I developed on the Genre module became a manuscript, HAMISH CRUM, which was a finalist in the Exeter Novel Prize 2023 judged by Hellie Ogden, Head of Books at WME – ‘A really thoughtful epic tale that crosses the globe. The writing feels sweeping and takes the reader on a magnificent journey.’
The manuscript was also shortlisted for the Searchlight Writing Award 2023 and longlisted for the Bath Children’s Novel Award 2023, the WriteMentor 2024 Novel and Picture Book Awards, and the Cheshire Novel Prize Kids 2024.

I am currently working on EXEAT, a time-slip thriller for adults set in a girls’ private school in the 1980s/2020s.

My short story ANTHAEUM was shortlisted for publication in the WriteMentor Magazine and another short, THE THREAD, was longlisted for publication by the Cranked Anvil Press.
