
I’m an experienced screenwriter, script editor and journalist, now embarking on prose, based in the beautiful High Weald of England.
As a screenwriter and script editor I have developed and delivered award-winning projects for companies including the BBC, Film Four, Granada International, Fremantle Media and Disney.
My television pilot PEOPLE ARE THE WORST, a dark, supernatural comedy, is on Coverfly’s coveted Red List of its top 20 TV Drama scripts has recently been chosen for the semi-finals of the prestigious Writers’ Lab UK & Europe 2025.


Since graduating with an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction) from Birkbeck University, I have been working on my Victorian adventure, HAMISH CRUM, which was a finalist in the Exeter Novel Prize 2023 judged by Hellie Ogden, Head of Books at WME – ‘A really thoughtful epic tale that crosses the globe. The writing feels sweeping and takes the reader on a magnificent journey.’
The manuscript was also shortlisted for the Searchlight Writing Award 2023 and longlisted for the Bath Children’s Novel Award 2023, the WriteMentor 2024 Novel and Picture Book Awards, and the Cheshire Novel Prize Kids 2024.

I am also working on EXEAT, a novel for adults set in a girls’ school in the 1980s and the 2020s. My short story ANTHAEUM was shortlisted for publication in the WriteMentor Magazine and another short, THE THREAD, was longlisted for publication by the Cranked Anvil Press.

I have interviewed authors for the Mechanics’ Institute Review literary magazine, written articles for the National Trust and have also lectured in Screenwriting at the School of Arts, University of Kent .
I’m a keen gardener and photographer and have volunteered at Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and Great Dixter.
